Soundtrack: "Chestnut Mare" - The Byrds

First snow of the year! For Thanksgiving I went up to my cousins' house
in the Catskills and it was
snowy and awesome. We rode ATVs but I almost tipped over going down a
snowy hill and got scared.

So I rode their sweet new horse, Rambler (Rambler!), instead! I hadn't
ridden a horse since I was
little. It was the best.

Aside from two dogs and two horses, they also got a new kitten named
Shadow. Shadow likes to
bite the dogs' tails. My cute circuits were totally blown.

After Thankgiving dinner (which we ate, in traditional Jewish style, at
3 in the afternoon), I passed
the fuck out and my mom took this incredibly flattering picture of me.
Thanks mom.

Back in the city that night, Tim and Sue had a combination
Thanksgiving/ Ben's birthday party.

Camille and Abby.

Ryan's cute little suit.

Eniko, Yoko, John, Marc and Joshua, who is not only the least
Jewish-looking Jew ever, but also
goes to the same Jewish
resort in the Catskills that I've been going to with my family for
Passover for
like 15 years. It's just
like the place in Dirty Dancing,
and just like Baby, when I was 14, I too had
a meaningful encounter
with a "streetwise" member of the resort staff. Our love affair lasted
four heady
days until I went back
home to my sheltered little world and he went off , in true townie
fashion, to
join the army.

Ben's birthday pie.

Birthday flowers.

Birthday kisses.

Birthday kisses, part two.

Geordan and his fellas.

Ryan going back for seconds. I don't know how he's so skinny, the way
he packs it away. Not fair!

Camille and I doing Suicide Girl faces.

I can't even begin to explain what's going on here, but when your boobs
are out on a stoop on
Avenue D in the freezing cold, that's when you know it's time to call
it a night.
Happy thanksgiving!
