Soundtrack: "Objects of My Affection" - Peter Bjorn and John (Love this one, HATE the whistle one.)

Gavin and Emily and Baby Sophie invited me over to witness a real, authentic Xmas eve dinner

gathering. I don't think I've ever been to one before. Really! That's how Jewish I am. I can't even

remember what I've done on Xmases in past years. I even looked through my blog archives and found

no clues. I tend to get a touch of the SAD around the holidays so I guess I probably vegged out

watching movies and then maybe went for Chinese food with my parents, just like the NY Jew cliché.

"The tree-eeee! Aw, look at the tree!" (thanks to Aviva for making me obsessed with this video)

Judi shunned her Jewish heritage and made a savory Christmas turkey dinner for us all.

Then there was in-house rokes!

I was singing "Build Me Up Buttercup" and these jokers were trying to distract me but pshh, I'm an

old rokes pro and didn't miss a line!

King of the Jews!

Peeps!

And then we have new year's eve. Oh new year's eve, how I hate you. Let's review my past two

new year's eves. Last year: Watched 40-Year-Old Virgin at Ryan's then dragged ourselves to

Misshapes at 4am but it was already over. Ended up at some random person's house "partying" with

people I barely know till 8am. Gross. Two years ago: Stayed home and read The Perks of Being A

Wallflower in bed. Cried.

Actually, those weren't so bad. This year I was super-psyched because NYE fell on a Sunday night

which meant I got to work the door for Smiths Nights and got paid double-time! Woo hoo!

Here's me and Brian at the door at midnight. Happy blah blah eve!

Went inside for a sec and everyone was hugging and kissing. Went back outside.

After I got off work at 4am, me and Ryan and Richard went to eat at Veselka and I made two new

year's resolutions:

1. Quit smoking.

2. Quit hanging out with fags and 20-year-old skater boys so I can maybe hope to have an actual

boyfriend sometime in my life.

So! Number one is taken care of. I quit smoking cold-turkey on January first and haven't smoked

since. Hooray, me. Number two? Now that one's more of a stumper...

P.S. January 16th is my three year anniversary for doing this blog! THREE years! An eternity.
